Allison Day

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Meet Allison Day, a passionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with a heart for making a difference. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, Allison’s educational journey began at Texas State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009, followed by a Master’s in Special Education in 2010. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to helping others led her to the University of Houston Clear Lake, where she achieved her BCBA certification in 2016.

Allison’s journey into the field of ABA was completely unexpected. While completing her student teaching in her final semester of undergrad, a paperwork mix-up placed her in a special education classroom instead of general education. It took just a few hours for her to realize that this was the environment where she could truly make a lasting impact, igniting her passion for working with children and families.

When she’s not working, Allison can often be found indulging in a variety of hobbies that fuel her creative soul. From painting and reading to swimming and going on spontaneous road trips, she’s always exploring new ways to express herself. Her love for the arts extends to theatre performances and arts and crafts, and while she’s constantly dreaming of home renovations, her Pinterest boards are far ahead of reality!

At home, Allison shares her life with her husband and their two beloved dogs: Cooper, a lovable lab, and Cassie, a playful goldendoodle. The trio is ruled by their grumpy yet endearing cat, Collins, who’s the true boss of the house.

A fun fact about Allison is that, despite living in Houston her whole life, she believes she was destined to live among the breathtaking mountains of Colorado. With a deep love for the state, she dreams of one day making it her permanent home. Looking to the future, Allison has her sights set on pursuing a PhD in behavior analysis, with aspirations to become a professor. She is deeply passionate about mentoring others entering the field, believing that nurturing the next generation of behavior analysts is one of the most profound ways to create lasting change in the world.
