Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Cape Town, South Africa, Cherie Wood's journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) found its roots amidst the vibrant  cultural tapestry of Texas. Graduating with her Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University in 2014, Cherie's passion for ABA was ignited by a transformative experience working with a non-verbal client who spoke his first word through  their collaborative efforts.

Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Cherie finds immense fulfillment in empowering children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to reach their full potential,  while simultaneously fostering stronger familial bonds that enrich lives. Her unwavering commitment to serving families and her genuine dedication to the well-being of her clients underscore her profound impact within the realm of ABA.

Cherie's embodiment of warmth, compassion, and unwavering professionalism serves as a beacon of light within the Steady Strides team, illuminating the path towards  positive change and transformative growth.

Amidst the joys and challenges of raising four beautiful daughters and supporting her husband, an active duty Air Force member, Cherie finds solace in the tranquility of nature through hiking, the enlightenment found within the pages of a good book, and the invigorating rush of running.
